How would you rate your team's draft this weekend?
52NFL Draft
So, what do you think of this weekend's NFL Draft? Some talk show hosts, stated that it was a weak draft. Others thought it was pretty rich in talent, and could help lots of teams fill the holes that they needed to fill.
Well, personally speaking, I'm a Redskins fan, and while I can't say that it was the "sexiest" draft that they've ever had, it will probably be one of their most effective drafts to date. The team let go of defensive end, Jason Taylor, and picked up Renaldo Wynn-- which I'm still kind of confused by. In the first round, they selected cat quick and athletic, defensive end, Brian Orakpo and in the 3rd round they selected speedy Maryland cornerback, Kevin Barnes.
In the 5th and 6th rounds, the Redskins drafted linebackers Cody Glenn, and Robert Henson, before finally selecting it's first offensive players in tight end/h-back, Eddie Williams, and wide receiver, Marko Mitchell--who could be another huge target for Jason Campbell, at 6'4, 218 lbs.
In my own personal opinion, I'd have to give them a B+, and the reason for that is, I think they could've used one or two more offensive linemen also. (Although, there is still the opportunity to pick them up as undrafted free agents.) Yet, they focused on depth, and defense, which is always a sign of a potential contender.
That's just my opinion though. I haven't heard much about how Redskins Nation feels in regards to the draft. However, if you are a 'Skins fan, what's your opinion? Or, if you're a fan of another team, how do you feel your team did?
